Communication at this office is awful and the people who work the front office are absolutely rude. Drove 5 hours to the appt to be told that we would have to reschedule due to them not communicating with us about having to do a CT Scan. I would never recommend this office to anyone just because of the awful attitudes they have. Kindness goes a long way especially when people are already dealing with a stressful situation(obviously or they wouldn’t need a neurosurgeon).

From the get go it was an unpleasant experience to say the least. The lady who checked me in tried charging me until I could “prove” I had already met my deductible and copay she still tried arguing it saying it wasn’t correct and that I hadn’t met my copay which I’ve see other doctors before and they even said I did. Finally she “refreshed” her screen and realized I had in fact met my copay. Well I waited 30+ minutes in an uncomfortable lobby to finally be called back. The ma was nice barely spoke but still nice. Then I waited 30 more minutes for the physician assistant to come in and be completely rude. She looked as if she had a really rough night or too much fun in an exam room with scrubs on inside out, didn’t know who I was or why I was there. Then she didn’t listen to a word I said and made me feel like I was a burden. She put the wrong body part on my pt paperwork and since she ignored my she thought my neck was the issue. Despite having my referral paperwork in front of her. I never saw a doctor which I wasn’t okay with considering I specifically asked and was told I would. Don’t go here. They’re not professional and very rude.she also got mad when my arm was hurting during her “exam” and I kept kinda not wanting to do the things she was asking. She shouldn’t be allowed to practice medicine in my opinion. Don’t go here. Fine somewhere where the doctors actually care enough to go in their appointments or where the pa is at least competent and caring.

I am so grateful for Dr E. Had emergency surgery for ansurym rupture at early September morning hours. Flown in by Care flight. Dr E knew exactly what to do to and how to care for me. Such a gentlemen, excellent surgeon and skilled Doctor!!! Highly recommend him.

Communication is by far the worst at this place. Having an appointment less than 24 hrs they call me about a PA when EVERYTHING is closing. First time I’m hearing about this. Called to cancel and asked if I wanted to reschedule. Absolutely NOT!! Worse service I’ve ever had with ANY medical facility.

Don’t be fools like us. My wife has had back problems on and off for over 20 years but has never been to a back specialist. She was having an especially severe bout so we decided that it was time. She started with our primary care physician (PCP) in whom we have the greatest trust and respect. He recommended Dr. Gregory Smith at the North Texas Neurosurgical Spine Center so we called for an appointment. The scheduler said that it would be about a month but offered to get her in quicker with another doctor. She decided to go with our PCP’s recommendation. A week to two later, we get a call from the same scheduler offering to get her in sooner with another physician. Again, we told him that we would stick with Dr. Smith. A few days before her appointment, we got a call from the scheduler saying that Dr. Smith now had some sort of duty that day and she would need a new appointment. The soonest would be another three weeks unless she was willing to see a different doctor. She decided to wait. The big day came and we made it into the exam room. The nurse took vitals and brought up the results of her MRI on the computer. Some time later, a physician’s assistant came in. He asked a lot of questions and performed a rudimentary exam. He was nice, funny, and seemed very capable. We were thinking that he was doing the preliminary checkup before Dr. Smith comes in. Guess what! The PA took his results and said that he conferred with Dr. Smith who agreed that she should get physical therapy. We don’t know if the PA or Doctor ever looked at the MRI results; not while we were there. So after an MRI, turning down opportunities to get in much sooner with other doctors, staunchly waiting two months to see this particular expert, she was seen by the PA. The elusive Dr. Smith didn’t even show his face. As we sat in the exam room with the door open and other doctors went by and smiled, we thought “how nice.” They were probably laughing at us. “Those idiots think they’re going to see Dr. Smith.” As a younger man, I would have pitched a fit, but what would it gain. It’s not like we cared to see him now. I just stood there and laughed while they made a followup appointment. Yeah, like that’s going to happen.

Dr. Ajai (uh-ji, ji like why)has an amazing bed side manner. He is very kind, knowledgeable and gentle. He explained things in a way I could understand. He showed me the images of my neck, then showed my by physically standing and pointing to parts of his neck until I fully understood. He is the 3rd Dr I have seen for help with my neck. We decided that ACDF and fusing 2 discs was the best option. This was the least invasive of all 3 Drs opinions. On the day of surgery, he again answered all questions I had before going in. He had a great anesthesia team and my pain was well controlled. He was diligent to see me in the hospital afterwards. The pain went away quickly, which shocked me bc I have a low pain tolerance and had been on pain medication for years prior. The pain in my arms that I had prior to was gone 2 hours after surgery. I am 16 days post op and other than feeling like there is a lump in my throat on some days, I am better than I was before. You won't regret meeting him and even his office staff was kind. His medical assistant, Everlyn, has been in contact, answering questions all the way. I actually called 3 times that Evelyn was with other patients and I had questions and 3 different people called back within 2 hours and answered everything. I need my lower back done as well and I wouldn't trust anyone but Dr. Ajai. Wait time in waiting room is about 10 minutes. I've waited as little as 10 minutes for the dr or when he wasn't happy with the quality of my images, I waited 30 minutes. He let me know the problem and I didn't mind waiting. Call to get the best parking directions for the direction you'll be coming. I had to park in a parking garage but it was free with his stamp on it. The garage is within feet of the building entrance. They even have a shuttle should you need help. I know I wrote a lot here but I wanted you to be as prepared as possible. Good Luck!

Dr. Hruska and his PA are cold and unsympathetic. They did not review my medical history before they entered the room. He was arrogant and never reviewed the report of two radiologists concerning my MRI. When questioned about the results of my MRI, he said he had never reviewed their comments b/c "I am a neurosurgeon, and operate 3 times a week on peoples spines."

He accused me of being mental and told me to seek cognitive help. If you dont need surgery, he makes you feel like you are insignificant and a waste of his time.

Furthermore, the person that made my appointment, never sent the information needed to me. I had to call and ask for paper work a second time. Upon arrival, paperwork in hand, I was told I didnt have all my paperwork filled out, that a sheet was missing.

I sat in a waiting room for and hour past my appointment time, only to have a PA come in and ask me the same questions listed on my form.. bc she had never reviewed my information.

If you want a concerned, experienced physician that will listen, and be thorough, GO ELSEWHERE.

I have already contacted another team of physician's, who reviewed my MRI, and agreed that Dr. Hruska is incorrect in his diagnosis, and agree with the findings of my MRI.

I was thrown from a horse in 2002 and broke several vertebrae and multiple ribs. This left me flat on my back for 3 months, over a year of nonstop pain. In 2008 I finally gave in and started taking hydrocodone so I could function. After 8 years of pain medication I came to the conclusion my condition was never going to improve so I reluctantly decided to look into surgery options. A friend that recently had back surgery by one of the doctors at NTNSC convinced me to try them out. I brought my recent MRI and xrays and met with Dr. Saddiq. He looked me over, looked at the MRI and xrays, then told me he confidently that surgery would alleviate most, if not all, of my pain. I was a little skeptical that after 14 years a surgery could do that, but I was tired of the pain and was willing to give it a try. A week later I showed up at the surgery center but was very nervous about the procedure. Dr Saddiq met with me before surgery, told me what to expect, was assuring.
I woke up after surgery, didn't feel my normal pain while laying there. After a short recovery, I was released to go home and take it easy for a few weeks. I couldn't believe it, my pain was gone. Two weeks after surgery (and against Dr orders) I was hiking in the Colorado mountains. It's been a year, I have my life back. I haven't needed any pain pills since the day before surgery. Couldn't be happier.
