Went to pick-up my husband's prescriptions at 3:30 . Would be ready in 10 minutes. I hike back down to where my husband is waiting. Go back at 4:30 another 10 minutes, 5:30 - another 1/2 hour. In a 1/2 hour we have to be at the other end of the hospital for a treatment. I can't possibly get there before they close at 6:30. Thanks for nothing. We live 2 1/2 hrs away. It's not like I can just drop in and pick it up tomorrow. Never again. Horrendous service.

Is it possible to give Zero stars? Because this pharmacy is a nightmare. The staff are some of the most rude and uncaring people I’ve ever had to deal with. Had a prescription sent to them 5 days ahead of my arrival to Moffitt for CAR-T therapy. On that day of arrival, the pharmacy informed me they needed to talk to the prescribing doctor. I’m sitting in an infusion chair trying to explain that his office was closed that day (Friday) but there was no way to get a hold of him and that I needed the medication refilled today. They said they needed to verify with the doctor that I actually take those two medication‘s. This made absolutely no sense to me and I had to get my team here at Moffitt involved to get those prescriptions filled. they are totally unprofessional And I wouldn’t Recommend them for treatment of a dying plant let alone human being. Just awful. And to think they are located in a Cancer Medical Complex.

This pharmacy is terrible. Being that it is located inside moffitt cancer center you would think they would have some compassion for the patients using their pharmacy. My husband is a patient currently going through cancer treatments there and we have had an issue with one of his medications almost every time we have gone to pick it up. It is a narcotic and I understand there are guidelines and the pharmacist have to be careful however, if the pharmacist does not feel comfortable filling a script they will just deny it without even calling the doctor for clarification or authorization. I get that there are addicts out there that abuse these meds and whatever else they do but, these are cancer patients. This isn’t some regular Publix store on the corner. It’s located inside the cancer center. I was literally told they could not fill the medication because “the pharmacist didn’t want to fill it because he still should have some left of the old script.” The old script was a completely different dose and frequency which needed to be increased because, well CANCER, radiation and chemo is painful. I work in the medical field, I know how it works. New dose, new script, different instructions/frequency, there’s should be no issue! How can a pharmacist deny a med because they “don’t want” to fill it? You would think that they would reach out to the doctor for explanation if there was any question. But no, I had to call there and throw a fit for them even to reach out to the doctor. Now he’s been out of medication for days because they didn’t “want” to fill it or call the doctor who is just a couple doors down the hallway from them. This was the second time we had an issue. The first time the tech at the window said we could pick it up on a specific date. We get there and the guy (short bald guy with glasses) wouldn’t fill it because he was 3 days early, we waited the three days (again out of meds) because we weren’t aware at the time how incompetent this place was and we figured maybe we were wrong, all to find out he was counting Thursday to Thursday which is eight days. He was adding an extra day to each week that the script was good for which was 25 days, 3 weeks. We had the doctor even count the days and said the guy at the pharmacy was wrong. But they still wouldn’t fill it. These are CANCER PATIENTS WHO ARE ALREADY SICK AND YOU ARE PLAYING WITH THEIR MEDS! I will say the techs at the window have been sweet and kind and they are just doing what they are told. BUT THE MANAGERS AND PHARMACISTS NEED TO BE CHECKED! I hope someone looks into this because we are not the only people complaining about this place. Hence the other reviews and angry patients personally seen waiting and arguing with them as well.

Spoke with this lady from 12:44 - 12:48 PM on 07/27/22 and had a bad experience with her. She instantly had a negative demeanor when I called to refill my dad’s boost. She immediately told me that it’s not necessary for me to call. I informed her that I was told numerous times to call ahead if he needs more than 4 packs. I requested 6 boost plus vanilla, 6 of the boost plus strawberry, and 4 regular vanilla & 4 regular strawberry vanilla. She basically told me that she was only going to place the order for the 6 boost plus & 6 boost strawberry and the rest since it’s under 4 he can go get it in line himself. You’re telling me that it’s cumbersome to add the other eight to the prepared order, and you would prefer for a cancer patient to wait in line to get additional boxes? It doesn’t make sense whatsoever. I then asked if someone can help carry the boxes out for him because he tore his left shoulder. Her response, “there’s a cart.” There’s been other instances where someone has helped him carry the boxes to his car with no complaints. Obviously since my dad has a torn shoulder he has trouble lifting boxes even if it’s just one box. Worst pharmacist tech by far. Her negative attitude and dismissive nature throughout the whole conversation was off-putting to say the least. People who work at the cancer center should have patience and empathy. This lady was quite the opposite.

The associate was so rude, they were laughing very rude . Had a problem with insurance for $3.00 dollars and my Mother was upstairs getting her infusion had her Humana Healthy Visa Card the associate didn't no to use it. Said it had a 0 balance, then started laughing and talking about at the register. Every time I go in there only concerned about $$$ wish they were like the Moffit Cancer Center they are really bringing them down if you ask me. I use Publix religiously but having second thoughts. Really need to get nicer staff at Moffit Cancer Center.

Absolutely the rudest people ever, went for a prescription pick on friday that had been prescribed on friday. They said about half hour for pick up,no problem. I was also there for a pickup that was approved and filled on Tuesday prior. When they said it was ready they also informed me they would have reduce one prescription because of insurance, no problem. You pour out 18 pills and we are done. No, three people came in behind me they put me at the end of the list filled theirs they were gone and I'm still there one hour later. No I'm sorry for the wait, great attitude. I know they are there for a convenience but Ill go back to walgreens where they are appreciative of my business.

They work through the line quickly. They are always helpful dealing with my prescription plan. They usually get them to agree to pay for the medication after it's been denied. They get on the phone for you and get them to understand the medication is necessary and should be covered. I truly appreciate all the work and effort they go through for me. Thank you.

The pharmacist was quite rude today, came to the window with attitude before anything was said to her. I found it beyond acceptable to treat cancer patients, at Moffitt's main campus where many patients fill prescriptions every day, in such an UNPROFESSIONAL way. WOW
