After a severe grade 3 ankle sprain on December 12, I came in to see Dr. Gordon. I told him of my lengthy history of injuring my ankles and torn ligaments from years of dancing etc. He brushed everything off saying he did not want me in a boot even though the boot gave me relief because any pressure I placed on it made it swell in pain nor did he want it wrapped and he wanted me to do PT and move about my life as normal. In March, my ankle was still swelling up like a balloon on a daily basis and the pain was getting horrific. I was demanding an MRI And he continually told me it wasn’t necessary. Finally I saw another Dr at this facility where it was confirmed I needed an MRI and should have been wearing a boot or brace all along. Almost 6 months later MRIs confirmed it was torn from the start just like I told Dr Gordon yet was ignored. Now I’m looking at surgery. All of this could have been handled months ago immediately following injury if Dr. Gordon listened to an experienced patient with a lengthy history of ankle issues. This is unacceptable.

RUDE, ARROGANT, CONDESCENDING, AND INSULTING. Dr. Gordon, appears kind, talks smooth, yet, shoots daggers at the same time. Took my 80 yr old Mother at the request of her PCP to go over her MRI. She's been in severe pain, and barely walking for 2 weeks. Her MRI showed multiple reasons for her condition, yet he's quick to lump you in with the (quoted at) "roughly 25,000" patients who asked Dr. Gordon what he can do for them. He ranted on for about 10 minutes reciting a Q&A skit between his patients and himself. He repeatedly asked how faithful and disciplined they were with PT excersizes and counting calories to maintain a normal weight. In the end it appears ALL of them were "non compliant" patients who basically were the reasons they were suffering. Dr. Gordon looked directly at my 80 yr old Mother (not much overweight) and told her "I bet you have not done a sit up in over 35 years"!! In the end he ordered an epidural thankfully perfomed by another MD who apparently is very kind. During this appointment I was about to lose it and call him out on being so disrespectful. In the end my Mom stated if she had said anything it would go in her chart as a difficult patient, that could compromise future care. So in the end my Mom had to endure being accused, insulted, and talk to like a child to get some type of pain relief!!!

Dr Gordon & staff were wonderful! Dr Gordon fused my L4-L5 which I’m recovering from awesomely. I can walk without numbness & horrible nerve pain shooting down my left leg which I suffered with for 1 year. Gordon worked a miracle for me. I would encourage others who have spine issues to go to Dr Gordon!!! Thank you, Doc

What can I say about Dr. Michael Gordon? Professional, caring, excellent surgical skills. “In GOrDon We Trust”, that is my motto for him. Being a pediatrics dentist, I appreciate the attributes that make him feel for his patients, just like I feel for my own young patients. If you want the best don’t go anywhere else.

Dr Gordon has been excellent. He identified a problem I was unaware of, prepared me well for surgery, followed up daily and has very patiently and clearly explained all that has been going on. I highly recommend him and the institute.

Dr. Gordon knows what he's talking about, and is a no nonsense expert. He understood the pain I was experiencing and quickly took care of the issue. He understood I was afraid of surgery, but explained very clearly what the procedure involved, and the relative risks. I am recovering well and his team has a daily online check in with me. Night and Day from pre-op to post-op. Massive improvement.

At my consultation meeting with Dr Gordon, he actually had me video his diagnosis and explanation of my MRI. He explained it all with a confident enthusiasm that put me at ease and answered all my questions, and addressed my concerns. I had an L4-L5 laminectomy, discectomy, and fusion. I’m now at Two weeks post-op. Feeling great mostly with scheduled meds, and following exercise program earnestly. The NOI personnel have been friendly, capable, helpful, and knowledgeable. Dr Gordon and his team are amazing - especially James and Julie who keep tabs on me via the secure on line network. Looking forward to getting back to long walks with my sweeties, and on-location landscape painting sessions.
