I only know this place from taking my dad. There’s valet parking. A Starbucks occupies one end of the main lobby along with a quiet section off to the left as you enter. The space is open and airy. The staff I’ve met are very professional. It’s seems to be a very nice hospital that I hope you never have to visit.

Fabulous doctors but when you get here, you will be stressed on trying to figure out where to park. If you decide to go down to the cafeteria, you’ll be more stressed cause there’s no one in there to answer any questions and they simply just hand you tickets and don’t wanna be bothered. What happened to Moffit? Terrible experience, service folks are not friendly, blood draw not pleasant either. They just don’t care, it’s just a job to them

I chose Moffitt due to its proximity to my home. The surgeon was good and I liked his bedside manner but after surgery things really soured. The nursing staff at the hospital were mostly in their early 20’s. I was not offered any sort of way to clean myself during my 4 days there. I smelled like a homeless person when I left. After I left the hospital the care got even worse. I was only allowed to talk to a nurse who constantly ignored my concerns. I wanted a work up of my nutrients (also recommended by their nutritionist) since I had severe joint pain in my hand and feet and was anemic. She said it wasn’t necessary. I wanted to meet with a nephrologist since I only had one kidney and she said that wasn’t necessary. She called to read my path results 4 weeks after my surgery. I asked her a question about the results and she told me to Google it. Then said I was too anxious about everything (stage 3 renal cell carcinoma with spots on my lung), so yeah. There is NO way this place is number 10 in the US… someone paid to have that ranking.

Twice I have driven an hour for a procedure, had blood work drawn only to get there, be stated in the eyes and admitted they did not read my allergies therefore could not perform procedure and I should come back at their convenience. I am greatly surprised in consideration of fact I provided allergies and my own records showing issues with drugs they plan to use on me. I got bills and no apology when I was sent elsewhere by Moffit to have done exactly what was planned by FSU. If you are not with a medical malpractice attorney at your side, this is a dangerous situation.

I think these people are all about money not about truly helping people who are at the mercy of this ugly sickness. I have the best insurance dual coverage and they denied me many times even though my insurance indicated they would cover my treatment. I also heard from someone 2 people they knew who also had great insurance were denied and they died. This is disgraceful. I am going to notify the American Cancer Society about these sharks.

Twice I have shown up for procedures, was checked in, had blood work drawn only to tell the doctor or nurse or radiologist my allergies and they could read them back to me from my chart. They had these records months before I scheduled the procedures. I am ashamed they are neither apologetic nor will reschedule these done properly. I get to wonder if I have cancer and the doctor, social worker, appointment center as well as a complaint though my insurance company has not created any urgency for them to call me.

Excellent care. Attentive staff. Nurses are the best. They even care about the caregivers who come into the infusion center with their loved ones. I highly recommend Moffitt Cancer Center.
Updated 12/1/20. Our loved one continues to receive treatment at Moffitt. Dr. Gilbert, Patty and his staff in the GU clinic have been very helpful during the pandemic adjusting appointments and trying their best to time the number of visits so we are making the least possible visits.
The expertise, dedication, kindness and care of the nurses remains Moffitt’s greatest asset.

By far the most disgusting hospital for cancer patients to ever exist. My father was in nine departments, multiple cancers, and he always felt like he was a number and expressed this and was right. In 2018 one of their head and neck drs almost killed him by nicking multiple areas and he almost bled out at home. St.Joes saved his life. They sent him home from THEIR ER in August septic and two days later he was transported from home to St.Joes north AGAIN. He spent 10 days there and 5 at home before he passed on 8/23. I hope this hospital gets shut down and I will express this to anyone who will listen. DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE. Find a better caring group of cancer specialists. You will be treated as a number and not a human being. There is karma in this life and the next for every disgusting doctor that took part in the pure negligent care of my father. You’re a disgrace to the medical field.
