I needed an extraction because of a failing tooth that was causing a lot of pain. Dr. Patel and his staff were very friendly, professional, and informative in every aspect of the treatment. The extraction itself was quick and painless. I did not want to be sedated, so I opted for local anesthesia. I was awake the whole time and felt no discomfort at all. The post operative instructions were comprehensive and clear. They worked with my insurance and the billing was exactly what they had estimated. Overall, this was a superb experience. I was very impressed with the kindness, care, and skill of Dr. Patel and his team. I am now pain free, and very happy with the results. If you need an oral surgeon, I highly recommend this group.

I was referred to Dr. Patel by Dr Hukmani at Lansdowne Orthodontics to have jaw surgery (a mandibular osteotomy I believe) as part of my orthodontic treatment to address an overbite. I had done a sleep study that diagnosed me with severe sleep apnea, surgical treatment was a suggestion from the sleep study as well. I also had an appointment with an ENT who advised that the jaw surgery would have a profound impact. So there were several doctors in agreement that this would be beneficial for me.

I was informed of the risks that come with surgery and the cost of the procedure was discussed. I did not get any surprise costs and I went into it knowing that he was out of network for my insurance, so I would be paying more out of pocket. There was a little hiccup as I did not give them sleep study paperwork before the prior authorization was submitted, so that is on me. It was approved once they had sleep study paperwork.

The surgery went well. I was very swollen and tired for a while, as was expected. I should note that I also had two teeth removed, and one of the plates removed on separate occasions in addition to the jaw surgery.

Overall I am thrilled with the results. I am glad that I had the surgery, the cost and recovery were well worth it. There is a huge improvement with my breathing. I am also happy to report that according to my family, I no longer sound like a freight train when I am sleeping, so they are enjoying that benefit. I don’t feel that the aesthetic results look unnatural, I still very much look like myself which makes me happy.

Dr Patel is a skilled and knowledgable surgeon and was worth going out of network for. The staff have always been kind and informative, they were always able to answer my questions. My experience with Dr. Patel and the staff at Institute of facial and oral surgery was fantastic.

I have SEVERE dental anxiety and Dr. Patel and this office are amazing. They have dealt well with a sometimes difficult and terrified patient and restored my belief in good honest dental professionals. Thank you for dealing with this fearful and oftentimes unreasonable patient. You are awesome! They have always been spot on with insurance billing as well, that has not always been my case either. Can't recommend them more!!!

I just got my wisdom teeth extracted/removed this morning at this place. The staff are amazing. So sweet and considerate.
I enjoyed my conversation with the Asst Doctor before the surgery and like many people mentioned here, Dr. Moose is the best. I went in this morning, fully prepared that there will be a lot of pain and I would take time to recover. Although every person's body is different, the clean surgery aided my quick recovery post operation. I have very less swelling and pain currently. I would hundred percent recommend this clinic/doctors office. Thank you Dr. Moose!

Update after 2 years:
The stitches healed quickly and I have had no trouble after. Highly recommend.

The level of care I experienced from Dr Patel after my recent surgery was far and above anything I have ever experienced from a doctor/surgeon. Dr Patel took the time to answer all my questions and talk me through my fears. Additionally he gave me his cell phone number for after hours in case I had issues and he personally called me to ensure I was pain and complication free. I HIGHLY recommend Dr Patel to anyone who needs oral surgery!

Dr. Moose and his staff were exceptionally accommodating given the Covid-19 situation. I felt an extreme amount of pain and needed to have my wisdom tooth removed. I was able to make an appointment the same week I called. Before having the tooth extraction procedure, I met with two of Dr. Moose's staff for X-rays/prep for the procedure and both were very friendly. Overall, the procedure went very smoothly and I really had a great experience. Thank you Dr. Moose and your incredible staff!

I had my bone graft and implant placed by Dr Moose. The whole team was highly professional and friendly. They worked with me to schedule a convenient time since I couldn’t miss work. Dr Moose explained everything to me from start to finish. It’s been several years since my surgery and everything is holding up just fine.
