I have 9-10 trees in the back of my property that have become very crowded over the years and with a new home being built right up against that tree line, I wanted to find an affordable way to get the branches thinned out, give the trees some breathing room, get the branches that were hanging over my neighbors house, and get more sun into that back part of the yard. I knew I didn’t have the money to take down too many trees but had at least one clump of hackberry trunks that had already started falling that needed taking out.
I talked to three different companies and got free quotes from all of them. The first wasn’t well known and the guy worked off a phone template and I felt he underbid himself and I wasn’t confident they would do all the work I wanted done. He also only quoted about half the trees I had. His quote came in around $2500. Next, I talked to F&F, who was recommended to me by my father and my younger brother. Daniel was great. He walked me through all the issues he saw, agreed about taking down the clump of hackberry’s that were falling, and was confident he could thin out the rest and allow the trees more breathing space and more sun in the back yard of my neighbor. On top of that he informed me that I needed to cut down by half the four Asian pear trees I have in my front yard, or they would split and fall soon. Overall, he quoted me $6000 for a total of 13-14 trees. I also got a quote from 3N1 Trees who also came highly recommended. 3N1 came in around the same price as F&F but was more focused on taking down a leaning hackberry that I felt they would spend less time on trimming the remaining trees.
In the end I went with F&F due to Daniel’s knowledge and insight and his extensive pictures of work he had done in the past. He gave me confidence that his work would be thorough and meticulous. He also was confident he could balance out the leaning Hackberry that 3N1 was so concerned about and didn’t feel it needed taking down (3N1 quoted $3000 on that tree alone). I am very happy I went with F&F and will use them again in the future for tree services. He had a large crew that showed up a few weeks later and they started about 9am and finished up around 3:30pm. They worked efficiently and quicker than I expected, but with all the thoroughness they promised. The final result is a much more open backyard, but maintaining the beautiful tree line that we fell in love with when we bought the house. My Asian pears are growing back in healthy after their trim and my neighbor has also been very happy with the result.
So, in the end I highly recommend F&F. While they won’t offer you the lowest price, their pricing is fair and guarantees the best job. I can also add that all my trees are doing very well, even with our hot summer. In past years my oaks and hackberrys would get sickly looking by summer with withered leaves and this summer they have been healthy looking and happy. This alone shows me that F&F know trees and how best to trim and shape them, not just hack away a few branches and call it done.

On late Sunday afternoon a storm with high straight line wind took down a large section of a maple tree in my front yard. With the damage there was still a lot of weight on the remaining tree that could potentially damage a the new roof on my house, should more wind move through the area. Around 7:30pm (again on Sunday evening) I called F&F Tree Service expecting just to leave a message asking for a quote on Monday. To my surprise I got answer. I explained the situation and within 30 minutes someone was at my home assessing the damage. I was asked if I wanted it taken down that evening to prevent further damage and they would return to cleanup the next morning. Around 10pm the owner of F&F was at my house and within 15 to 20 minutes he had the tree branches removed and ready for next day removal. On Monday morning the crew arrived at approximately 9 am. Within an hour everything was removed and cleaned up. I was amazed. Great customer service. I highly recommend this company for all your tree service needs. Thanks F&F for your help! I am a neighbor who let them use my yard and driveway for a job witch was probably not a good idea but did it anyways. The bucket truck crashed into my garage while they were loading logs into iit and damaged the gutter, soffit as well as the fascia metal. Yard was left destroyed from them driving equipment back and forth but I did expect that just not the fence being put back up like it was their first day doing this kinda work ii called owner to see if this was a finish product and he said he would fix it. Now almost 2 months later nothing has been done all I want is my gutter replaced. I have already graded the yard back and will pay for a new fence in the spring . So all in all if you love your home this isn't the company for you to have do work .

F & F did an outstanding job trimming and shaping my two extremely large Silver Maples in Xenia. One of which needed to be trimmed over my awning and fence. Absolutely no damage to property and nice clean-up afterwards. The trees look great now. I will use them again in the future.

F&F took down two trees for me back in Fall of 2020: a black walnut and a mulberry tree. The crew worked fast and had both trees down and my yard cleaned up within an hour. Both trees were right along my fence line, so the foreman explained that he couldn’t grind the stumps for fear of catching the chain link fencing in the equipment. He told me to call back when I took down the chain link and they would come get the stumps. Fast forward to Spring of 2023, I wanted to install a wood fence in place of the chain link. I called and spoke to Daniel about grinding the stumps and he had a crew out within 1-2 hours to do so. I would highly recommend this company, both for the quality of their work and their business practices. Even though it had been nearly three years since taking down the trees, Daniel didn’t hesitate to send a crew out to finish the stumps and honor our deal.

We just had F&F tree service take down a couple of trees for us . One of the trees was a fairly simple take down but it was very close to our home but the largest tree was blown over in the 60 mile an hour winds a couple of weeks ago. The tree fell into our neighbors tree and was headed for their house , potential for much damage to house and fence was imminent. I called F&F Tree service and they scheduled an estimator to our home . They came exactly when they said they , Daniel called and gave a time of their arrival and one minute before the appointment trucks were rolling in. Daniel and his team went to work immediately with pulley and ropes in place these guys worked liked a well oiled machine from start up to clean up we were very pleased . We had a good experience with Daniel's crew. We had them remove a huge dead maple tree on our front grass strip, and then remove 23 ailing junipers that we had planted as a screen in our backyard.

We asked at the last minute if they could also take out a very large mulberry bush (tree size) and another stump, and they added those to our job list without seeming the least bit concerned about the extra unscheduled work. I am not sure that they even charged us for them.

As the crew worked, they were careful about not damaging surrounding structures and vegetation.

We did ask them to return and go deeper and wider with the stump removal of the large maple, which they did without any extra charge.

And finally, they cleaned up the debris from the job thoroughly.

This company clearly is working to maintain an excellent reputation in our community. They will do a fine job for you.
