Me & wife had chosen Emory Johns Creek hospital for our Baby delivery last year. It was a great experience through & through. They took care of my wife during the labor time. I need to thank the nurses who made the journey to motherhood for my wife smoother & pleasant. I need to thank Nurse Savannah who was there on The night shift on June 9th & came multiple times in the night to take care of my wife. Thank You Savannah for your patience & attention you have provided.
For the delivery Doctor Cook helped for my wife normal delivery. Did the procedure in a smooth way for the baby delivery. Thank You Doctor Cook for your time & effort.

I went to the ER Sunday and ended up having emergency surgery. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a smile. Every single staff member treated me with compassion and care. I’m so thankful for the doctors who found the issue and fixed it. If I could give 10 stars I would!

I had surgery here last Thursday and I have to say have never been so well taken care of. The nurses were incredibly attentive and all the staff so kind. The hospital itself is beautiful and very clean. Overall just a great experience.

10/5!! I highly recommend Emory John’s Creek to anyone! I was admitted on Sept 25th to have my first baby; the minute we checked in to when we were discharged was top notch! I had a complicated labor and delivery, but they were ready for any curve ball thrown at them! I received round the clock care, my nurses were so kind and attentive to me and my baby, I never felt pressured into procedures or medications; they took my well being and my baby’s well being into high consideration; as any hospital would for their patients! My hospital room was clean and comfortable; my home away from home. It was worth the hour drive to receive such dedicated care! Thank you to everyone who took care of me and my little girl!

This has to be the best hospital in Georgia!!! I had two of my kids at this hospital and it was such a pleasant experience. From the front desk to delivery, just absolutely amazing! They took such good care of me and took every concern I had seriously. Forever grateful for all the nurses and doctors ❤️❤️

After visiting the ER at Emory Johns Creek three times for various reasons and being admitted to the hospital for 4 days, I have evaluated my care as follows:

ER: 3/5 - I never had to wait long to be seen in the ER, however, the care I received was troubling at times. The first time I visited, I was misdiagnosed. I had what could have been a life-threatening illness, and the doctor failed to test or even consider that possibility. The doctors were pleasant overall, but I do hope they slow down to consider all possibilities in the future.
Another issue with the ER is the beds. I am not tall, but the beds were too short for even me. As I had massive migraines on two of my visits, being unable to just lay down was a major issue, and one that I sincerely hope is addressed quickly.

ER Nurses: 5/5 - The ER nurses I encountered were beyond all doubt the best part of Emory Johns Creek. They were attentive, kind, and competent. They communicated very clearly, and kept me informed of everything that was going on. I just wish they could be cloned and spread throughout the whole hospital.

Food: 1/5 - While I fully understand that a hospital is not a Michelin-starred restaurant, the quality of the food was terrible. All of the proteins appear to have just survived the Chernobyl disaster. I understand seasonings may be an issue due to health-issues with various patients, but there is no reason the proteins need to be beyond overcooked. I would highly recommend looking into industrial sous vide equipment to ensure the food is appropriately pasteurized but not overcooked.

Room service staff: 5/5 - While the food was atrocious, the people I interacted with in the room service staff were awesome. They would promptly call if I forgot to put in my order, and they were always incredibly polite and punctual.

Nurses during admission: 2/5 - Unfortunately, the contrast between the ER nurses and those I encountered during my admission could not be more stark. For several of the nurses, I literally could not understand what they were telling me, and having clear communication between nurse and patient is of the utmost importance. Most of the nurses were also not very friendly and did not keep me informed of what was going on. I would often just have IVs changed without anything being said to me. There were some notable exceptions, however. Doris was extremely kind and communicated clearly with everything she did. Between her and the ER nurses, I have hope for the future of the hospital, but I do believe some major changes are needed.

Organization: 1/5 - When I was transferred to the ER and admitted to a room, the admitting physician ordered several medications which were needed urgently due to my serious condition. However, it took over 3 hours for anyone to come see me after the initial transfer into the room, and when a nurse did arrive, I was told that a medication had been sent to the wrong place. It took hours before I received the correct medications. The trend continued throughout my stay and medications were repeatedly lost or delayed. Even in the ER, I was told that the nurses have difficulty even obtaining saline to hydrate patients. This is not acceptable.

Also, the system with the call button on the bed was a mess. The first time I pushed it, I was told a nurse would be right with me. Thirty minutes later, after no one came, I re-pushed the help button, and it was lit up for several minutes with no response. As that is the emergency button for a variety of situations, having no response is quite troubling. I eventually learned to call my nurses phone directly, but this would not help if stranded in the bathroom or somewhere else where I only had my call button.

Specialists 5/5 - I interacted with the infectious disease doctor and anesthesiologist and both were phenomenal. They were competent, informative, and friendly.

I do hope the hospital addresses the issues I encountered as they made it impossible for me to recommend Emory Johns Creek to others, but to the few bright spots, thank you so much for getting me through!
