First of all, I want to make sure that whoever reads this understands that Dr.Shalloway is an amazing doctor. Unfortunately after being with this doctor for over 10 years I no longer will be seen here. I have given them many opportunities to fix the administrative issues that this office has. When it’s not a prescription error, it’s issues with my referrals and now I was told that Dr.shalloway did not order my lab results. This was the last straw. Extremely unprofessional and everyone lacks customer service. I think the office should hire new staff or train there employees better.

HORRIBLE customer attention, my husband and I are patients of Dr. Lester Shalloway and I called to make an appointment for my daughter to be seen as a new patient, but was told I could not even hold it without giving them her Social Security number! She stated something about office policy--what about a patient's privacy not to give their number, especially with all the fraud that goes on with SS numbers! I've never before heard of this practice and not to mention the rudeness from the employee that kept putting me on hold without telling me, whenever I asked why she couldn't at least hold the appointment until I found the SS number, she might as well have hung up on me!! In the end another employee helped to schedule the appointment but I can assure you I am very displeased especially after reading the many other poor reviews on Yelp and other sites about customer service problems with the staff including Dr.Shalloway!
Dr. Shalloway seems to be a very nice person, but if he is aware of the way we are all are treated by his staff and is allowing this to continue, it is very sad and it is reflective on his regard towards his patients.
Unfortunately, I am considering not returning to this office for our future health concerns or well visits.

Dr Shalloway is very nice and very knowledgeable. However, the office staff if horribe. Not patient friendly at all. In addition, lately they have been billing me after the visits in excess of the agreed rates with my insurance with has resulted in letters attempting to Collect funds they are not even suppose to bill the patient for. This is according to Cigna. After more than 15 years with this Doctor I Have decided to halt my relationship because I don't like the business practices and the lack of customer service by his office. Stay away!

I have been a patient of Smith Matza & Kutner: Shalloway Lester F MD for many years.
Dr. Lester Shalloway is very knowledgeable & pleasant. However, his medical assistant are very rude. The practice as a whole is not patient sensitive. I have seen better customer service at an auto repair shop. I had my physical called my wife to discuss my test results. My wife asked them to talk to me since I had concerns regarding several issues Dr. Lester Shalloway discussed during the exam. I never was called. I called and left several messages. I received 1 call; where the medical assistant left me a very insensitive / rude message about HIPAA rules with no concerns about my concerns or test results. Due to the long term relation I had with Dr. Lester Shalloway; I decided to call him to inform him of the experience. Dr. Lester Shalloway never had the common courtesy to return my call. Three weeks later I took time off & went to Smith Matza & Kutner: Shalloway Lester F MD office. Again I was not able to see Dr. Lester Shalloway and received two different stories. Receptionist told me Dr. Lester Shalloway is with a patient & medical assistant said Dr. Lester Shalloway was out to lunch. Left Dr. Lester Shalloway a message with medical assistant to call me back. The next day I received a call from medical assistant to inform me Dr. Lester Shalloway will not talk to me, I had to talk to office manager. Dr. Lester Shalloway is an ok doctor not the best. However, because Dr. Lester Shalloway either oblivious or does not care about his patient and the rude behavior of Smith Matza & Kutner: Shalloway Lester F MD; I recommend to stay away. You are better off finding another doctor.

Office is a mess. Every time I go they are missing a lab, or a report that the Physician needs to address my issue. I call ahead of time to confirm they have it and they say yes yes. When I show up for my appoitnment they are scrambling calling to get them without success. I have had to get instructions twice over the phone for medical care because of their failure to have things in order.

This place sucks! I give it a zero!!! Don't waste your time going to these loser. They get your labs wrong, they never call back and very unprofessional.
