I take my parents for several years.

The Doctors are fantastic, but the staff over books.

Shouldn't have to wait 2 hrs for a 1pm appointment, then another 1/2 hour standing in line to check out.

Elder abuse to have so many people with canes and walkers stand in line so long.

If you choose to come here, expect to spend the afternoon.

My experience at Magruder overall was not pleasant. The doctor and staff were good, but the scheduling and billing dept were terrible. These departments don’t answer calls or email. Didn’t even return calls to my primary care doctor. He shared with me that they have had problems with Magruder. I almost had to redo my medical clearance because oh Magruder lack of response.
Same problem with billing. They refused to and or return calls.
I would never recommend this practice.

Absolutely no way this place deserves a 1 star but there are no 0 or negatives.
Absolutely worse customer service. It is quite clear it is strictly a money maker and in know way geared towards patient care.
EVERY appointment is like a cattle call. There is no expectations of ever being within 3 hours of your given appointment. Won't even get into trying to get someone on the phone.
Would NEVER recommend this place!!! If it wasn't for only being half way thru this process we would have cut and run long ago.

I am so impressed with the service I received here! The day after Christmas they took me!!! They were already crowded but took care of me! Dr. Leher (proper spelling?) was amazing and assured me that my detached retina was completely on the mend! He was so knowledgeable. I trust this place completely. State of the yard machinery! If you need an eye doctor, go here!

I’ve been taking my mother to Magruder for 20+ years…. I absolutely DREAD the day I have to take her to her appt. The administration is a disaster/nightmare… Billing department is a HOT MESS but that’s a whole other story… I have to set aside an entire half day for these appointments. Doctors are great.. OH and don’t try calling you will NEVER get anyone to pick up the phone… don’t leave a message you will not get a call back… this is not just one or two appointments it is EVERY appointment… I see from reading other comments many feel the same way… it looks like ASHLEY is attempting to answer/rectify some of the complaints but I believe she can’t do it alone… it is such a mess she needs a TEAM. We continue to return because of insurance and we like the Doctor.

I highly recommend Magruder eye institute. I have had eye issues since birth and I have been using Magruderr eye institute for over 40. They have saved my vision. Although it is not perfect. I still have my vision which in my opinion is a miracle. My current doctors, Dr. Lehr and Dr. Graham are among the best in their fields being up to date on the most recent technology and treatments. Their staffs are kind, considerate, helpful and mindful of your needs .

I can only echo what other reviews have said. The doctors are wonderful but the staff that handles patients, bleah! The demeanor of the front desk and general staff is such that they would be more appropriately employed at a slaughterhouse for pigs and cattle where the individuals with whom they deal would not and could not complain. They have no consideration or empathy for the patient and my wife and I waiting until 3:15 PM for a 1 PM appointment is far from acceptable customer service. I spoke loudly in the waiting area that they should not expect a 5 star review on Google or Yelp but my comment was met with total indifference.
( I was going to give this a 2 star review but I'm changing to a 1.)

Appointment got rescheduled and then postponed. Then got called in to be told payment was due from previous appointment that happened half a year ago, though no bills have been received. Then, waited three hours for a routine check. Never again.
